Lecture Tours

,

Thorough research and in-depth familiarity with the history and cultural resonance of a place become part of Lecture Tours. It requires personal passion and smooth networks of resource persons to make a successful tour.

Exploring the richness of India’s cultural and historical sites has been a prominent part of the evolution of LVAC, in the broad ideas of knowledge sharing, building public access to art history and exploring the intersecting space of museum interactions and engagements with local heritage. The deep learning came from Lina Vincent’s prior experience working with Jackfruit Research & Design (a firm that developed curated educational tours in addition to other multidisciplinary cultural programming). Uniting the exploration of built heritage, with varied experiences of local culture including food, folklore, performance, and ecological activity, the tours allow for individual and collective discovery of place and people.
