    Mithila Art Institute

    The Mithila Art Institute (MAI) was established in Madhubani, Bihar in 2003, spearheaded by the Ethnic Arts Foundation. It was developed to train artists in the history and practice of Mithila painting, and charged no fee. Over 500 artists graduated from MAI until 2019, when it closed its doors.

    The Art in Industry program was established by Tata Steel in 1993, with a view to supporting cultural practices, and connecting diverse artists on a common platform. Annually, the event brings together eminent and emerging artists, urban contemporary artists and their counterparts practicing indigenous styles, youth, art connoisseurs and the public.

    IPEP India

    Started in 2013, the ‘International Print Exchange Programme India’ is a non-profit initiative through which printmakers share their work with each other across the globe. The initiative has generated a community of 340 participants from 49 countries contributing a fantastic run of 100+ exhibitions around the world.
